Accessibility Statement

Access via the main entrance is over a wooden lip and suitable for entry by pram, wheelchair, walking frame. The interior flooring is hard and flat throughout. Access to the outdoor seating area is particularly suitable to pedestrian and assisted access as it is all at one level and plenty of room to move. The outside seating area has the option of covered umbrellas that extend over the seating area. Access to the men’s and women’s bathrooms is also over a lip in the floor and facilities are all at ground level. The cubicles are unfortunately, narrow for wheelchair users but the corridor can be temporarily closed for privacy. There are highchairs available for younger visitors. Visitors with dogs can usually sit outside or indoors with some prior notice. Assistive dogs are given a priority.

Parking is available immediately around the restaurant area with paid metered parking and there are two further car parks in the vicinity, though both have uneven surfaces.

The street access immediately outside the restaurant is newly updated and level. Bollards prevent traffic from mounting the pavement, but the curb drops at each end for accessibility. Taxis may pull up for a short time to allow visitors to be dropped and collected immediately outside the restaurant.

Should any dietary restrictions be notified during booking, accommodations for these can be made e.g. allergies and conditions can be considered. All the waiting team are aware of allergens and request every table to notify allergens during booking. The kitchen is awarded 5* for hygiene and training.

Should we be able to help with modifications to improve accessibility in any way we are only too happy to help. E.g., a menu printed with a larger font, seating away from the music speakers, seating near to access, or facilities, with an area for an assistance dog to rest. Please do discuss this with us during booking.

Our preferred taxi company Fleetline can be contacted via 01305 777333, trains come 0.8miles away to Weymouth terminus, there are bicycle racks along the harbour front for securing various other methods of transport.
We very much look forward to welcoming all visitors and work hard to make sure your visit is as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to seeing you soon.
