						Basic menu,  cooked proper.  Nice chef , comes out and talks to customers. My first time trying oysters so he gave me half a portion.  Maybe my last time trying oysters 😂. My be I'll try the snails next time. 🐌 .I would go back.

						Wow what and experience. Welcome by Eric and staff was very welcoming we sat with water offered while we settled in straight away with this weather very much appreciated. Drinks ordered soon after what I loved was the relaxed vibe and not rushed to order. Special treat the chef himself comes out to the table and and talks about the menu and if specials are available. Sweet prawns and oysters to start so fresh and delicious. Seabass and platter for one with 2 dressed crab dishes. All plentiful and so fresh all dishes came with sides as well, we added French beans which rounded our meal off. For desert we could not resist the creme brulee but also tried the pouched pears and banana cake. So happy to know that they are all homemade and you could tell. Will definitely be back thank you Chef Eric and team

						This is an amazing restaurant that is well worth a visit. We came for a celebration meal and it didn’t disappoint. The food was outstanding. We can highly recommend the snails and oysters. The crab was sweet and fresh without a single piece of shell and the signature sea bass was fantastic. We left very full and very happy. The welcome from Eric and Clare made us feel right at home, nothing was too much trouble. An absolute must visit, you are missing out if you don’t visit.

						Beautiful place in Weymouth to sit outside and eat. We had the sharing seafood platter and my gosh was it delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The chef was lovely came outside before they closed for the afternoon and told us to take our time as he was going to be doing paperwork anyway. 

The atmosphere was laidback and friendly.

Excellent hospitality by Head Chef Eric.

Staff very attentive helpful.

Food Excellent quality tastes . SImple natural goods from the sea . Left simple full of flavour.

In my job role I cover 30-40 restaurants pubs bars etc.

I would highly recommend Coming here.  Due to its excellent cuisine & hospitality.

						We went for lunch on 4th August 2026. I had dressed crab, with chips and tomato salad. Would highly recommend it. Delicious. Hubby had pork cheecks with mash, cabbage and red wine sauce. He licked his fingers. Also said it was Delicious. Was a brilliant lunch

						We stubbled across the absolute gem of a restaurant

Chef Eric cooks from his heart & soul.

Oysters were amongst the best we have ever had

Seabass - The best I have ever eaten the bar has been raised.

Service is absolutely spot on,

You know the food is going to be good when the Chef takes your order and is more than happy to talk about the menu in detail.

We will be travelling the 3 1/2 journey again to eat here soo.

						Excellent hosts, top service and great food expertly cooked.  Look out for the specials, also the Poole oysters are fab.  We ate here 4 times in one week, always with little dog in tow.  Chef Eric sourced some huge fresh bream for us for our last night, lovely touch. He's a gooner but everyone has a weakness!

						Great place! Food was good, the chef came up to the table and told us about the food (seemed tired, but it was a hot day so nothing against it), and the oysters were especially good. Only downside was the we happened to come at the same time as the “Vespa and Vintage Car Show” in Portland which meant hundreds of motorcycles were reving and leaving fumes as we sat outside. But this was simply a case of “wrong place, wrong time” so I won’t let it ruin the pros of this quaint restaurant!

						Second time here and as before great food and straight off the boat fresh. Had oysters and prawns for starters and crab for main (chef was waiting for it to come off the boat). I wish Weymouth had more places like this. Please don’t spend a few pounds less and get generic food you see all over the UK.

						What an unexpected delightful little find! Small and bijou. This popular French restaurant serves freshly caught seafood alongside traditional dishes. A treat to have the chef personally visit each table and talk through the menu as you order. Food was tasty and charmingly presented. So glad we impulsively chose to dine here :)
